Student Village Adlershof Berlin, 2014

Project

Student housing with infrastructure in the character of a village, offering space for learning, living and sleeping on a 2.7 acre site.

As in a traditional village, the 10 three- and four-story buildings with a total of 386 residential units are arranged around a central square with the important facilities. The serial character of the facades is softened by irregular geometric "Denker" bay windows with wooden cladding and colored sunshades.

EQUIPMENT

Interior Design Concept

In order to offer as much space as possible in a small area, the furnishings and architecture merge into a single unit. Desks and built-in cupboards are integrated by A2S with millimeter precision into each of the 386 individual bay windows. This complex custom work requires precise planning, starting with the panel production. Division of the rooms into white and gray areas separates the learning area from the living area.

With built-in furniture, the apartments offer plenty of storage space, and the neutral furnishings leave plenty of room for individual design. The large common rooms with cooking areas have closet systems with generous personal lockers for organization and neatness.

Sustainability

Quality, made in Germany. Products that will shape future generations require responsibility in the use of resources. Short production routes, no use of solvents and tropical woods, as well as the exceeding of required legal standards have already earned A2S numerous seals of approval and certificates.
